Collectively, our team has an impressive level of Australia wide experience, having worked on medium and high density residential projects, on Aged and Health Care developments, on a high volume of residential buildings, and on industrial and commercial developments.
DraftAway’s technical team diligently focuses on quality assurance pertaining to the technical aspects of clients’ projects. Gary Blieden
Director
Technical (Engineering / Construction)
Gary Blieden is an electrical and electronics engineer experienced in construction and project management. As a director of The Away Group, Gary focuses on overseeing project management (both onshore and offshore), system implementation and service partner and client relationships.
After graduating with honours from a Bachelor of Engineering at Swinburne University, Gary worked as an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager on multiple large-scale commercial construction projects for companies including Aurecon and Umow Lai. During that time Gary co-ordinated and managed teams of consultants and contractors, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a meticulous comprehension of relevant codes and regulations, which lead to a secondment to the Telstra Land & Buildings Team where he consulted on the design and project management of the National Broadband Network (NBN) Rollout.
A clear understanding of project requirements, eye for detail and supreme dedication to client satisfaction is what separates Gary from other service providers. His disciplined attitude ensures his clients experience an outstanding level of service.
Aidan Wollner
Director
Sales and Operations
Graduating from a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Law degree, Aidan Wollner is an experienced property, commercial and corporate lawyer. As a director of The Away Group, Aidan focuses on business and system development, customer service, marketing and service partner relationships.
During his legal career, Aidan worked on a variety of large-scale residential property and commercial transactions where he fast discovered his passion for the construction, development and design fields. Aidan was then seconded to the Australian division of Iron Mountain Inc. (listed on the New York Stock Exchange) where he acted as General Counsel and provided specific property related advice during the company’s internal restructure.
Aidan brings his comprehensive knowledge of commercial and property law to DraftAway, which serves as an invaluable asset to the company and its clients, across all stages of project management, decision making and business development.
Aidan continues to hold a legal practicing certificate.
